How manifestation literally changed my life

I`ve never been a big believer in manifestations and vision boards, all things spiritual and magic, until very recently. Last year I decided to quit my full-time corporate job and get in the field of being a full-time searcher for my soul. It felt like the right decision at the right time, but it still came with all sorts of fears:

- Will I find what I even want to do?

- Is it even possible to live the way I plan to?

- Will I find myself by reinventing me, or just wake up a part of me that has been deeply asleep until now?

In the middle of this whirlwind, I joined a webinar on creating vision boards for the new year. Every time before when I was making a vision board my heart was not in it, and maybe because of that it didn’t work. But this time, something happened.

From "Live, Laugh, Love" to Real Connection

Initially I thought I was going to put stuff like travel, live, laugh, love, money, etc. but ended up with pictures, words and visions of community, sisterhood, dance, and most importantly – connection. During the meditation we had at the webinar I had a breakthrough – what I needed most wasn't just a trip where I go someplace i`ve never been without a deeper purpose - it was to feel connected to a group of like-minded women.

The "Magic" Moment

What happened next is something I don`know how to describe except as pure magic, or as my spiritual girlies will say - manifestation baby! Through an Instagram giveaway I decided to apply for a free spot at a retreat in Costa Rica, because I had no defined plans for the year and I had nothing to lose (if you are one of the people who think that it giveaways are a waste of time and you have no shot – just do it, the right thing will find you when you most need it!). I was supposed to share the post in a story, but for some reason the share-to-story function glitched – so, I decided to tell one of the retreat hosts that I wanted a real shot and let everything else in the hands of the Universe. I decided to take it another step up and do something I don’t usually do – journaling specifically for what I put in my vision board.

After that, i`m going to be honest, as I’m only human, I forgot I applied for it. But five days into January I got the news - I had won the giveaway and was going to go to Costa Rica!!!

The moment I read the message, I burst into tears. It felt like the Universe was rewarding me for the bravery of quitting my job. I felt all kinds of emotions, but mostly gratitude and excitement. Since the moment I found out that I was going to the retreat I never had a single doubt – it was meant for me because I had manifested it.

Little did I know back then that all of the words I had put on my vision board - connection, sisterhood, community, would come true, sooner rather than later. It wasn't just luck; it was about getting quiet enough to hear what I actually wanted.
